Tubal Triumph: A Second Chance

I got my tubal ligation in 2016 when I was 21 years old. I was 100% done having babies at this point in my life. I had Ivan, Arianna, and MaraBella. With my then-husband Joshua, we decided that a tubal ligation was the best choice since my body doesn't agree with birth control. I got the clamp tubal ligation. It was the most efficient in 2016 and the easiest to reverse if we ever decided we wanted another baby (plus, if we could afford the reversal surgery, we could afford another baby. The surgery is roughly $8,000).

Life happened. Joshua and I separated in 2020, and our divorce was finalized in 2022 (COVID and the cost of a divorce are ridiculous). At this point in my life, I didn't think or want ever to get married again, let alone have more babies. Mine were 9, 8, and 7 years old. I was done raising babies. No more diapers and waking up at night, and they were at the age that they liked to go hiking, watch scary movies, and do fun things that babies can't do. This didn't mean I didn't have baby fever because I did. My ex-husband got remarried in 2022 and had a little girl in 2023. At that point, that helped my baby's fever a lot. I cuddled and played with her, but she went home with her momma and her dad.

In June 2023, my best friend Mariah invited me to go on a float with some of her and her husband's co-workers and friends. Well, one of those friends/co-workers was a guy named Chris. We dated a couple of months at the end of 2022, but I wasn't looking for anything tangible then. During that float, Chris and I rekindled our relationship, and we officially started dating again on June 17th but didn't tell our friends and family until July. It was very nice to have no one in our business. Well, after dating, things went very fast. We moved in together in August 2023 and talked about our future together. If he wanted kids, he knew I was fixed, so the only options were getting a tubal reversal or doing IVF. We looked at both options, and a tubal reversal was our best choice.

Well, on October 3rd, 2023, we had our tubal reversal at A Personal Choice Tubal Reversal. Dr. Monteith and his excellent staff were so sweet and caring. From the moment Chris and I walked into their office in NC, we were so comfortable. Dr. Monteith was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in tubal reversals. He explained the procedure, answered our questions, and put us at ease. The surgery itself was not as bad as I had anticipated. Dr. Monteith's surgical skills were exceptional, and I had a smooth recovery.

The entire staff at A Personal Choice Tubal Reversal was terrific. They were kind, compassionate, and supportive throughout the whole process. They made sure I was comfortable and well cared for both before and after the surgery. I was so grateful for their excellent care.

After the surgery, Dr. Monteith provided me with detailed instructions on how to care for myself at home. He also scheduled a follow-up appointment to monitor my recovery. I was so impressed with his aftercare and the level of support he provided.

Thanks to Dr. Monteith and his fantastic staff, I was able to have a tubal reversal and become pregnant with twins successfully. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have more children, and for the incredible experience, I had at A Personal Choice Tubal Reversal.
