A Classic Recipe with a Personal Touch
Taco Ring is a beloved dish in my family. My kids absolutely adore it, and I have fond memories of my mom making it for us when we were younger. It's a comforting and flavorful meal that's perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning
1 (15 ounce) can refried beans (optional)
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies (optional)
1 (10 ounce) can frozen corn (optional)
1 (10 ounce) can frozen diced onions (optional)
1 (8 ounce) package shredded cheddar cheese
1 (10 ounce) can Pillsbury crescent rolls
Salsa, for serving
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off excess grease.
Add onion to skillet and cook until softened.
Stir in taco seasoning, and add any optional ingredients you desire. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until heated through.
Spread half of the crescent roll dough in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Top with half of the beef mixture and half of the shredded cheese.
Repeat layers with remaining crescent roll dough, beef mixture, and shredded cheese.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until crescent rolls are golden brown.
Serve with salsa.
Tips:
Customize your Taco Ring: Experiment with different combinations of optional ingredients to create your unique flavor profile.
Spice it up: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
Make it vegetarian: Substitute the ground beef with plant-based protein like crumbled tempeh or seasoned tofu.
A Family Tradition
This Taco Ring recipe has been a staple in my family for years. It's a dish that brings us together and reminds us of cherished memories. I hope you and your family enjoy this delicious and heartwarming meal.
